Optical drives do not require any driver when used in Vista. Support that allows this drive to read a data or music disk is included with the OS. Support that allows this drive to play a dvd movie disk comes from installing compatible dvd decoding software.

Everyone posts but no one states what's the problem. Why?... we provide a comment box and there's plenty of space for typing.

Tried this on my Sony Vaio VGN-SZ650N after completely reinstalling Windows Vista on it and losing access to my this drive.
