No driver is required. Vista provides native support that allows this drive to read a data or music disk. Please state what the problem is and include some details.

Is the drive listed in My Computer and Device Manager?

Yes, that's true the Vista has the driver but something happened when I downloaded an activex flash file from a website and now Windows tells me that "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupt or missing. (Code 39)" Please help.

Have you tried the "delete upper and lower filters fix"? There's multiple threads about it including a sticky in this forum. It was invented for Windows XP, but everyone says it works in Vista too.
