I am trying to upgrade a Compaq DeskPro EN Series
SFF to a 80 G Hard drive. When I installed the hard drive I tried to go
Into the Bios and manually enter the drive, only to find out that it
Will not let me. When the computer is running the drive shows up, but
When I try to open it, it prompts to format it. I have already set up
The partitions, and formatted this drive via DOS. After doing some
Research I found that this computer will not support a larger hard drive
Without a upgraded Bios Flash that will support larger hard drives. If anyone
Could help me out with this I would greatly appreciate it. Here is
Some info from the computer..
Deskpro EN (DPENS P500/01723/NTC US) Small Form Factor.
Processor: Pentium III (500 Mhz)
256 MB Memory
Rom Family ID 686T5
System Revision 01
Serial No. 6949CKHTK029
