No driver required. Windows XP provides native support that allows this drive to read a data or music disk and to burn a cd-r disk.

If you have the drive configured properly and connected to a working secondary ide port, Windows should pick it up automatically. If it doesn't then you probably need to delete the upper and lower filters in the registry.
