I downloaded ripnaw2.exe to try to fix this problem of no sound on my system, however there are no executable files, and nothing changes when I add them to my computer. Am I doing something wrong?? I lost sound when my system crashed, and I cannot get the sound back.

Conexant doesn't make sound devices, they make chipsets, mostly modem chipsets and some tv tuner/video chipsets.

The only thing I know of that relates to 90079 is a Riptide/Chameleon sound/modem combo card used by HP in older pc. Please state what model of HP pc you have.

Or just use our Search Wizard (using keyword: 90079 or Riptide) and look for drivers posted in our database.

Or you can try this one: http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=62976
