I have a DVD Burner, that I bought from craigslist. It was manufactured in June 2003. My computer cannot identify it and therefore I cannot install it into my system. I know, normally, plug and play USB drives don't need drivers but I'm thinking this may be an exception. Can anyone help me with this issue? Thank you in advance.

Kathy

Is the USB port you plugged it into verified working in Device Manager?

Here's the few conditions that can cause non-detection of a usb drive:

1: USB port is not working properly (check in Device Manager to verify it's condition)
2: Bad USB cable (try another cable)
3: Defective drive (or drive has not been configured properly in USB Enclosure with the master/slave/CS jumpers)
