I have just bought one of those new Lexmark X1240 Printer/Scanner/Fax/Copy machines from Wal-Mart, tried installing it with the disk however it fails to install the Drivers. So I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, to no avail, I went online and downloaded the driver from the Lexmark site and it still didnt work, now I am getting this message(what is it and what can I do to fix it?):

Everything works but the printer, I keep getting a non communication message when I try to print a test page??? I have tried troubleshooting through all the recommended steps, seems driver is not communicating with printer, how can I fix this before I loose my mind?:furious:

You didn't say what the interface is, eg: usb or parallel port, or what it's working condition is. Whichever it happens to be, then go into Device Manager and insure it's working ok. Printers require a good working port in order to install and function properly.
