We (me and my project partner) are working on building a device driver for a Wireless network card. We need the technical specifications of the Chipset for the same. Have tried searching on the net, but found no success. we are basically interested in a Dlink card with realtek's or Prism's chipset because that would be easy to get. please help me out here..

chipset makers themselves have and provide information pertaining to their respective products. we find it rather hard to understand why this concept escapes you.

and do you even have programing tools/experence? if not then a wireless driver is not the project to use as a first attempt.

Does anyone have an idea of what chipset Orinoco classic gold pc card uses? Does anyone have a driver programmer's manual for that?
