Can someone plzzz help.

my computer always fails to recognize my usb port driver everytime i power-on and i need to go and reinstall the driver all over again, after each restart...

I plug my flash drive into the port and its not recognized imeediatly by win2k. i go to devise manager and right click on Sis 7001 usb root hub - which has a yelow queston mark on it- and then click reinstall driver. the whole process acompletes and the recommended driver ids displayed and i install it. and then windows smarts up and sees my usb port, and then my flash storage in that order.... and all goes well untill i shut down and i power-on the next time..... and then the whole process starts all over again..

plzz help me out on what the solution to this problem might be

Did you set an Administrative password when you installed the OS.
If so sign on as Administrator and install the hardware.

You may need to contact your computer vendor.
The problem maybe internal.

You did not say which Operation you are using,plus SP1 will have usb updates,if you are running WinXP. Check the bios and go to motherboard site,I have updated bios and fix problem.

try instead of reinstalling the driver see if there is a conflix first. if there is a conflix fix it then restart the system. if that doest work idk but let me know. noemailaddys@allowed.com AIM: xxxxxxxxxxx

Where are you inserting your USB drive? In the front or back? When you put the USB in it should automatically come up with "Ready" and you should be able to use it. I don't understand why you would install anything because it comes up when you insert the USB drive.
