Acer support can be found on most Acer worldwide websites. If you care to post your Acer pc model, we will try to help. However, don't make a paperweight out of your machine by attempting updating unless you know the flash file and flash program are specifically for your machine. I cannot see how updating a bios will make your problem go away... has it ever worked (with Windows XP SP2 installed)?

And it might help if you specified what the problem is before going any further? Is the problem dealing with non-support of large hard drives (perhaps your bios doesn't recognize the full capacity of the hard drive) or is the problem with the os? We cannot help if we don't know what the problem is.

the problem is dealing with non support of large hard drives.

2 methods to overcome that problem. Use bios update for your machine that offers large hard drive support or use drive makers bios overlay software.

please answer the questions asked of you in post #2. We cannot begin to know where to find a bios update until we know what machine you have. It's not a difficult question... what Acer model do you have? And who are you Xahid42? This thread was started by Xahid.
