Okay, so I bought a new graphics card and replaced my old one but no power appears to be getting to it. There is no display and the fan is not on. I tried the same procedure on another machine and it worked fine. Any ideas why I am having problems powering it up.

This may also be related to a new sound card which the computer recognises and uses but plays no sound through the speakers.

what you need to check first is
- is it compatible
- bios settings (you may need to get get a bios upgrade{flash the bios}
-does it need jumpers to be set
-is it sitting secure

these are just the basics but they do be the main problem
especially the bios
