Visioneer says they do not support this scanner anymore. It is older than 4 years. It worked fine on XP but not on Vista. I need a driver for Vista. When RadarSync scanned my computer they reported that the driver version I need is 3,3,8,6. They require I become a member in order to download the driver (file name 7710.exe) for $29. If this driver exists how can I acquire it? Visioneer will not help.
Any suggestions appreciated.

That's one of the oldest tricks in the world. Don't fall for it unless you want to part ways with $29. If Visioneer says there is no driver and one is not posted on their site, I'd believe them. Your problem is not unique... lots of folks would like to have Vista drivers (which do not exist in most cases) for their older devices. You only have a few choices:

1: use the scanner in a supported os (common work around)
2: Wait til Visioneer writes a driver (isn't likely to happen)
3: Hire someone to write a driver (cost would be prohibitive)
4: buy a newer scanner that is supported in Visita. (depends on the importance to you to be able to scan documents/photos).
