Hi there,

XP is using a compatible driver and when you use the setup that came with the drive it just says please remove old driver but you cant do that because when you restart the computer XP puts it back in.

I'm looking for the 'ini' file (driver) so then I can just go to device manager and update the driver.

Any ideas???

Why are you trying to install a non-existant driver after Windows XP has already provided the support necessary to allow the drive to read a data or music disk? You do realize there are no stand-alone Windows XP drivers... and that all support is provided natively by the os and by dvd decoding software?
