I have a Dell Desk Top about 4-5 years old or so, and itcame with built in CDRW Sony CRX216E

I upgraded to Roxio Creator 9 from Roxio Creator 8 (which worked just fine and I should have my head examined) When I go to back up files and put in a blank CD (I have tried several different types, the program rejects the media and I have to close it down. Roxio seems to think it is my problem and a driver situation oe what?

I have no idea, I just want to back up my files.

Any help please email me directly at:

no.email.addy@allowed.net

Thanks

no a driver problem... this drive doesn't require any drivers other than what is provided natively by the os. The problem is most likely the burning software.

Is your drive listed in My Computer, Device Manager, & Windows Explorer?

Will it read a data or music disk?

If the answer to both of the above questions is yes, then you definately have a problem with your recording software. Uninstall it, clean the registry of any keys pertaining to the recording software, then re-install fresh.
