Hi everyone,

Recently I bought a China Mobile Phone (CECT N6500) for a very low cost. It's good yet it has some problems. You cannot find any usb drivers or other software stuffs to enhance this mobile set. However u can use this mobile phone usb modem to browse internet on ur PC. I wrote a small tutorial on how to install this modem and to configure this to use internet on ur PC.

i have cect 828 china tv touchscreen phone, obviously it's a fake phone with a fake name. the usb cable (com port mode) detected as mt6227 so i assumed it's the real name of the phone/board.

ive downloaded drivers and 3 versions of the pc suite including yours. the first version (2.1.4) has no model name on the settings section. the next(2.041.077A with themes editor) has tym72/tym730 models on the pull down list. i also encountered another suite(2.1.4 with no themes editor) that has MK6205/MK6217/MK218/MK6219 on the model selection pull down.
hmmmn soft developer flaw or a particular suite is for a particular phone?
i cant find the media tek site... most of the times, 2.1.4 versions gives error in uploads so i use the version with the themes editor.

all versions can connect/browse the phone whatever model i select in the settings section.
but i cant install java apps/games. it says target didnt respond pls check target. is there some gaming(java?) platform installed in the phone? if none, is it possible to install the gaming platform / emulator?

themes in editor dont look like mine and i have no idea on how to install the themes. the saved .med files wont read inside the phone

i have some presumption that the xp modem drivers(i change them many times, they all have version5.0.2153.1) that i installed is not the driver for the serial com used in installing games but for the modem function(just a stupid possible guess!!!) i tried the win98com driver included on most mt6227 driver package found in the net(error in XP and said it made for win95 format)...

... also(another guess) the expansion 2gig micro sd i bought wont be visible after selecting the com port mode, a big possibility that it cannot write to the drive. but again the installation dir of games would be the the first drive which is only 183kfree (total of 377k, i cant free the 194k being used by the os, whatever the os may be.) some say its linux, but i cant be certain.

i still have some hopes for this phone... i love its dual sim working simultaneusly, the touchscreen, tv, radio, super loud speakers, camera is low but will improve its motion stability when lcd timing adjusted to 60(max).

lastly, as i surf the net i didnt find my phone's name. maybe most china made clone phones have the same hardware but flashed or installed with different looking software... somebody know how to flash this thing? tnx....

I also have a Chinese iphone copy. Could you help me how to sync it with my PC ( vista ) I even do not know what Operating system is used by the phone. Somebody can help, please

I also needed a software to synchronise my phone with the PC.
I tried the links in your post above. The instructions downloaded OK but I am having a hard time downloading the software.

I found two programs to sync my phone on this page : pc sync manager (http://www.g33k.asia/tout-sur-les-telephones-chinois/) and phone suite (http://www.g33k.asia/tout-sur-les-telephones-chinois/)

It's in french i think, but it was not too difficult to just click on download links :laugh:

The Phone Suite software link is no good.
