The instructions on the disk say that the drivers are on the Nero 7 Essentials disk, wish I could find them... Vista is asking for drivers to be installed after I installed Nero. Drive is recognized, but will not work because the drivers are missing. Maybe I'm missing the obvious answer, I better get my glasses. Gonna try to un-install Nero and then re-install. Wish me luck... If I figure it out, I'll upload the correct drivers. I did get the firmware update, but couldn't use it because the update couldn't find the drive due to a code 28 error ( no drivers found ):hdspin:

Well, it seems the best option I've found is to let Vista ask me every time I start the computer and choose the "ask me again later" option. At least this way the device manager sees it and I can use it, but just not sure to what degree. I uninstalled the drive from device manager and let it scan for changes. It found the Liteon drive and asked for drivers, I chose the above option and everything went on as normal. I don't know how, but I managed to burn two disks so far even though it says it needs drivers for this device to work properly. I know Windows puts in generic drivers for devices it can't find specific ones for, but I just wish someone could tell me how to make this work properly without the never-ending device driver search at every start-up. I installed Nero 7 Essentials and everything seems to be working OK. I haven't tried Light-Scribe yet, but I will eventually. No help from Liteon's website, they just have a firmware updater that won't recognize my drive even though it matches the criteria that it is looking for to do the update. Any help will be greatly appreciated... I hope I'm not the only one with this problem with Vista Premium. Once again, if I find any answers to this problem, I will post it once I've tried it.
