Can you get the INF file for this Drive.
You have the firmware but it doesnt recognize the Drive.

Optical drives do not require an INF file nor does it require any other driver. Support for optical drives is included with the XP os. Is the drive listed in My Computer or Device Manager? If not that's called non-detection. There's lots of things that can cause non-detection. Read all about them in multiple threads in this forum dealing with the same subject.
