Optical drives do not require any driver other than what is provided natively by the Windows XP os. Microsoft designed the os that way. You do not need anything extra in order to read a data or music disk and to burn a cd-r disk.

well, I actually cant read a DVD+R with backup files, I burned it just few hours ago and tried on the DVD burner, but I cant read it with the Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-R2102, what may I need to do?
