I like to play my old Dos Games by booting directly from DOS 6.22. I have an ASUS motherboard which has an REALTEKALC 650 audio chip built directly into the motherboard. According to the specs there is a version A 3401 driver for this, but I haven't been able to find this.
My question is
Can I run an integrated chip in DOS? If so, can you tell me how. I have the SBLASTER emulated settings I found in the autoexec.nt for this chip, and I put it in the autoexec.bat in DOS but can't get it to work. I guess my real question is, does an integrated chip use a driver?
REALTEK says that this chip is meant to be used from WINXP, if a person wants to go to DOS to play Dos games, they must do so by going to the DOS prompt thru winxp, which I don't want to do, I want to load DOS 6.22 directly. Any help would be appreciated.
