I had to format/wipe my hard drive and with it I lost all my drivers. The first time I connected it (Prior to the Format/wipe) windows installed it for me. But this time it didn't. I went to the VEO webpage but it seems to be some weird search engine. Anyways help would be appreciated as I can't find the webcam here. (I used the search function by the way)

If Windows installed it for you previously then you don't need any driver and even if you found one, chances are it will still be the same, ie: non-working. You didn't tell us the condition of your usb port(s). Please open Device Manager and give us a report from there.

And to get usb 2.0 support, SP1 or SP2 must be installed.

and fyi, there is nothing wrong with the manufacturers website.

The Veo website is showing up as a search engine.

When I went to the device manager to see the all of my USB ports conditions/health, it says (for all of them) "This device is working properly."

I'll try to update my USB drivers for the time being to see if that helps.

"If Windows installed it for you previously then you don't need any driver and even if you found one, chances are it will still be the same, ie: non-working."

If I wiped my whole drive of all the things that were on it would the driver still be there? I'm a but of a 'Newbie' when it comes to knowledge like that.

That depends on where the source for support came from originally, ie: XP included support or from Veo. If it came from Microsoft then wiping the hd will not cause you to loose it. If however, you used a Veo provided driver, then you will loose that if you re-format. Sorry about the bad link, my bad for not checking, I just used my bookmarks for the source.

Thanks for the reply!

If I connected the Web-camera to my USB a mesage would come up on if I wanted to install it manually or let windows do the installing automatically. The first time I used it it did it no problem but after the hard-drive format/wipe it won't seem to do the installing anymore.

I don't have any other PC's to connect it to to see if it is the Cameras fault rather than Windows.

And No problem with the link!

If you are looking for a driver for the Veo Advanced Webcam, I have both a Nero and ISO image available at:

How to install a Veo Advanced Webcam on Windows Vista

The drivers work with Windows 98SE through Windows Vista (When using compatibility mode).
