I'm having trouble getting the Driver for the Centrios Snapshot digital Camera to install on Windows 2000. I was wondering if anyone else has run into similar problems with this product or if they know why its happening. Obviously there is no driver support on Win 2000 for this product but I have a dick and it is still not working.

Hi Sandra I too got a Centrios DSC-214 for Christmas and cannot get the camera to download or read in my computer due to the driver not working...I found out that Centrios is a Radio Shack brand name but they do not provide support for it and I can't find the company Centrios anywhere on the net..I am going to have to battle with Radio Shack then because I have just finished getting my computer checked over by the computer store with the camera and they even put in new usb ports just in case and it still doesn't recognise the camera..the program that came with the camera was Photoimpression 3.0 and sucks big time.

This is just a temporary solution:
Try dowloading the free trial version (15 day trial version) of Photo Impression (By ArcSoft) on the net. This is the software (Photo Impression by ArcSoft) that is used by Centrios digital Camera to download the pictures from the Digi Cam to your PC.

These are the clowns that make the centrios, nexxtech and other Rat Shack brand names. There are no drivers on the site for the dsc-214 other than win 98. try the email....support@orbyxelectronics.com for a driver. The email link can be found on the driver page.
