I just bought this new mouse May/June 2007. It has serial and PS/2 drivers, but no USB drivers.
The mouse is advertised as FM Mouse on the packaging and has 3 connectors: USB, male mini stereo audio output plug, female FM antenna input socket (2-conductor sub-mini).
http://www.allspirit.com.tw/fm-ap.htm
describes the FM Application software.
The company when contacted stated that they stopped making the mouse in 2003. The provided driver CD files are dated 1998 to 2000. The mouse works, but is detected as a Cypress USB Mouse by Win2k. The Device Manager's update driver wizard in Win2k gives an error message that the given directory does not contain any information on your device (or similar words).
The FM Mouse application pops up an error that says that the FM mouse / driver was not detected and none of the app's functions are available.
The manufacturer also calls themselves Allmouse.
Does anyone have any updated CD. My driver CD has a disk label of "000229_1921"
Attempts to use a USB to PS/2 conversion adaptor failed so that no mouse at all was detected.
A PS/2 to serial adaptor was attempted but Win2k will not permit a serial mouse to be added except on initial system install: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/197184
I hope that someone can locate and upload a winZipped or WinRARed copy of an entire newer driver/app CD.
Thanks.
