I am having a problem installing windows XP Pro on a Dell lattitude CPi A 366XT laptop. I have updated the BIOS to current but the CD just spins in the drive after I click on "install". I have 64MB of RAM which is the minimum requirement. My computer came with windows 98, and I upgraded to Windows 2000 Pro. That is working fine. What do I need to do to get the XP pro system working?? Thanks.

After you did the bios update, did you check your bios settings to see if anything had changed???

Is the cd-rom drive detected by the os???

Is the ide port it's connected to enabled?

Wil the drive read a disk properly?

It sounds like your cd-rom is not working...but you didn't provide much info.
