i require some software that will test the ramm for errorsi i have a program here that does it which is called memtest-86 v3.0

Now I ran this one and 20 hours later still no result which to me is of no value at all as i want a program that will chack the ram very quickly like within an hour or so for errors

any replies can be sent to Transone@xtra.co.nz

Memtest program works, however I found that at some chipsets on motherboards errors can’t be detected.
I have 16Mb simm with error on 2nd bit at one chip. This works fine most of time, but sometimes program can crash because of it.
Memtest didn’t show me anything wrong on my PC, but when I test this simm in my service on 18 different computers, there were errors on 16 PCs.
So you see some motherboards have chipsets which ignores memory errors or compensate in some way, so that program can’t detect it or crash on it (most of time).
My advice is to test this memory in some other computer.

Try Checkit Or better yet bring it to a computerstore and test on a hardware memory tester.
