I have a webcam with no name or numbers on it. It looks like a teardrop on its' side, all silver grey in color, chrome button on back with usb connection. Could anybody be of help to me, It sure would be most welcome. I have tried to search the web but with no results. i hook it up to the puter and it says new hardware found but cannot find the mayfacturer on the web. I would like to find a driver for it. here are some numbers that i saw when i took it apart. RD1027, PC-10C, REV:B and PC CAMERA (CIF)

Hi There. It sounds like one I have just gotten. It is a Cool-iCam CIC-50. If it is this one, the web address is www.coolicam.com.

And if this is your camera tell me if you have ANY luck making it work on XP cause even with the "updated" driver, I HAVEN'T! :(

Hope this helps

I can't seem to make the Cool-iCam G2 work like it should with Windows XP. And www.coolicam.com doesn't exist anymore... I really think it's a camera we can throw away!
My problem is that some of the photos can be read, when cut and pasted, but with most of them - when I try to cut and paste - my computer just restarts and says that 'the system recovered from a serious failure'.
Any solutions to this?
Wouter.

It is NOT a Cool-iCam it's a Wal-mart noname camera, it literally has no name. There are 2 drivers you can use...

The actual camera's driver:
http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=319065

and ...

A compatible "auto" driver:
