i bought the Mustek WCam 300A. The driver provided it nor the drivers which i downloaded from the manufacturer website are working .. i also tried all drivers from driverguide.. Im using Windows XP without any service packs. Whenever i plug in my camera my pc says 'Found New Hardware' .. and the install software automatically or manually option comes up. When i select the automatically install it dint find the driver nor did when i selected manual install and selected the drivers location from the CD .. it still cant find the drivers ?? Initially i had installed the drivers as told by the autorun function on the given CD .. still no use ..

pls give a soln. .. one of my friends recommended mustek saying its good .. now i dont know !!

its some driver problem .. i dont have time to give it for RMA and wait for a month .. pls do help ..

UNPLUG the cam

You may have to try this method as I had almost the same situation as you did. Try installing the software to the DESKTOP. When you are prompted to either "open" "save" choose "save" and save it on the desktop....from there install as you would any software by following all the directions. From this point, restart your computer.....wait until it is finished and then PLUG IN the cam. It will then ask you where to find the software to install....choose desktop if it can't find it on the hard drive...My problem was a Mustek scanner...what a pain that was...
