Need a driver. This is a Gateway 2000 telepath ISA internal modem made by USRobotics. the number on the tag is 87027700. please help. thanks in advance.

Telepath modem numbers begin with 75xxxxx. your number is not a Telepath number.

Note: these modems require Gateway drivers. USR drivers will not work.

ok, just going by what the modem said on the connection plate. Still cannot find this driver,U.S.ROBOTICS 870277-00, 33.6K MODEM ISA, can anyone help. Has a NEC chip # 1-016-905. Have tried Driverguide and USrobotics and NEC sites to no avail. thanks for any help.

You must look at the paper sticker on the backside of the modem to get the correct Telepath number.

found it, USR driver, you need to use the fcc number to get the correct model number from USR.
