give up. IBM scanners were built long before Windows Xp era. There were never any drivers made for these scanners which were discontinued by IBM long ago.

YES.
It is true. IBM never bothered to make a driver for this scanner for Window XP, showing their poor consideration to buyers of their device (thai is why I or my friends will never buy anything from IBM again).
HOWEVER, the scanner can function with "generic" drivers designed for "flat scanners". Unfortunately I do not know details on what drivers to use (NOT IBM). But I am sure someone out there does.
If you know, Please, let us know about those drivers.

thanks

Windows XP has native support for imaging devices. That's the only support you will find as no XP drivers exist from IBM.
