This is a new laptop that came with Vista. I have had to reformat and do a clean install of XP Pro for software reasons. I need the drivers for the LAN and for the wireless. Gateway does not provide them. They show the wireless to be a Gemtec Model WMIM-104N. The LAN is listed as Integrated Intel 10/100 Ethernet LAN.

Generic drivers won't normally work on a Laptop. I'd say your best bet is to send it back and see if they will trade you a model with Windows XP installed.
