Jerry K 03-29-2007, 09:32 PM We have no clue what NIC Acer installed in your 5570Z so unless you can id the card, we cannot help. I suggest you see if XP has the driver already built-in to the os (or give us some NIC info, like a chipset number or fcc id number).
GeeONE 04-18-2007, 03:39 PM I'm have the same problem. the driver installed is a Marvell Yukon 88E8038 PCI-E Fast Ethernet.

Silkywolf 04-26-2007, 06:25 AM nhatnam4 How did you get the Marvell NIC to work? I have been working on it for a while now and still can't get it to work. I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours. *laughs* For the other drivers, I went to the Acer website and downloaded for the 5570 certain drivers the Audio driver, Bluetooth, EZ dock modem, ABG wirelessLAN, Chipset, MModem, touchpad and VGA. All of those above drivers got everything working so far on my laptop. But I still can't get the Marvell to work. HELP Please!!

Mate, i'm no hardware techie, dont even profess to be, but i have fiddled with computers for years. I have never come across so many conflicts/problems as when i downgraded the acer 5570z from vista home basic to XP pro. I have the ftp link to the acer driver files but they would'nt work. I must have d/loaded about 20 different drivers for the Wifi adaptor, nothing would work.
This file, however, i installed with the same expectations as previous efforts, and to my surprise, the little wireless connection icons appeared in the task bar. I have'nt looked back. In my laptop, it is definetly the Atheros AR5006X adaptor.
The only reason i joined this forum was to share the driver that so many other people seem to need. Anyway, hope this helps. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Let me know how you get on buddy ;)
Anyone needing the file, you are welcome to pm me or d/load from here:

Jerry K 09-17-2007, 08:47 PM Harryv,
Thanks very much for your post and the link. You are the man!
I've taken the liberty to upload this file to driverguide.com and posted your comments (on the driver download page). I renamed the file to AR5006x.rar so it would be easier to find using our search engine. Perhaps this will make it easier for members to find and download. Again thanks for the excellent file.
all members, you can download this file here: http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=1056802
It may not be immediately available (until approved by administration). Usually within 24 hours.
It's mistakenly listed as FIRMWARE but it's the driver.
SPINESHANK 01-06-2008, 06:04 AM Anyone know where to get working modem driver. All the ones I have tried from Acer do not work.

RocoH 05-10-2009, 01:31 AM Hi All
Harryv, thanks a million for uploading the illusive driver, i upgraded from vista to xp !! (in my opinion) and i tried a couple of drivers on acers' website to no avail. So i installed yours and bingo, you are a legend............
Just for others to note, once they download, extract and run the set up file, you will still need to do the following
click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Network Connections, then select Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings
You should now be able to detect wireless networks in range and the wireless computer symbol will appear on your bottom right toolbar............
Thanks all again
