Hi,
I have a tape onstream di-30, the device is installed with last drivers i got, but the driver letter doesn't appear with windows xp.
Can anyone help me?

The tape drive never was designed as a drive letter. Originally, the drive used ECHO software (not compatible with XP, last I heard), to create a virtual drive letter, which allowed you to drag and drop files to be staged to be copied to the tape drive. There is also a driver for Microsoft Backup for Windows 2000, which may allow you to use the tape drive in MS Backup. Otherwise, you might be relegated to using Veritas Backup.
Dump the drive if you are able. Onstream out of business, no cartridges (especially cleaning!) are available at reasonable prices.
