I have just installed a new hard drive (old one broke), But my motherboard does not have 48bit lba support so the pc only registers the hard drive as 128gb (when it's actually 250gb). I've downloaded the latest bios drivers from gigabyte & have windows xp sp2 installed.
Is there a third party driver/software that i can install to provide the motherboard with 48bit lba support?

First, I would never trust 3rd party software on my precious motherboard. Never use anything except that offered (and approved) by the mb manufacturer.

2nd, why not visit the Gigabyte website and see what's available for your motherboard? One click and you're there!
