Reporting a success:

I have a Mac Pro running Win xp X64 (64-bit) under standard bootcamp beta. I did have to download the video, sound and lan drivers separately but easily from manufacturer and other sites. Runs Solidworks x64 like a champ

The Internal Airport Extreme card IS NOW WORKING using a driver from dell. The connection is running 24 Mbps and the signal is weak, but I'm posting now from this wireless connection.

The process:

First verify you have the same Wireless chipset under Winxp x64 by going to device manager, double clicking the wireless network adapter under "other devices". Go to "Details" tab and select "device instance ID" under "property"

Mine reads

PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4328&SUBSYS_0087106B&REV_01\4&35A448E&0&00E3

You are probably fine so long as you have the "PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4328" portion

Download R140747.EXE from dell, i found at http://support.us.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R140747&formatcnt=1&libid=0&fileid=187881

Extract the file but dont run the auto( didn't try it but it may work) just prefered the direct method"

Go back to the device manager to the network card and on the "driver" tab hit "update driver". Say "no" to windows update and select "install from a list or specified location" go to "dont search, i will choose the driver" and point it at the directory where you extracted R140747.EXE which by default will be C:\dell\drivers\R140747\DRIVER

you card will show in device manager under network adapters as
Dell Wireless 1500 draft 802.11n WLAN Mini-card

Get a beer, surf and enjoy

Have not yet printed over the network succesfully but you may want Bonjour for windows to get started.

hmm. I can't get it to work for me on my macbook/windows xp x64 setup. I don't have anything called network card in the driver manager. I have network controller, but when I did all of the steps for that I couldn't get it to work, and after I selected dell 1500 draft ... it still didn't show up correctly and it told me that the computer was skeptical as to whether or not that driver would work.

Can anybody please help me?
