I recently purchased a GPX model MW3826 mpw player. Even though this mp3player is supposed to work hassle-free on XP, it can't seem to find a driver. I've tried downloading the 98 driver from the website, but apparantly it's incompatible with XP. There doesn't seem to be any additional drivers on the GPX website for this specific model. I've tried this device on a friend's computer and it worked fine. Which makes me think that XP should already have the driver. If anyone has any ideas of what I'm doing wrong I'd really appreciate it.

If it works ok on a friends XP pc, then what do you suppose might be different about yours? Perhaps the usb port? eg: it ain't working or it doesn't have the same service packs installed. their free you know. I beieve I would have checked the usb ports in device manager before posting.
