Hi,

I am in desparate need of the correct driver for my TOSHIBA dvd-cd sd-r2512. Toshiba says it will run with the driver spuuplied by my WinXP - it will not.

Toshiba did not inform you properly. Windows XP will provide the following natively:

1: To read a data or music disk only.

2: To burn a cd-r disk (if your drive is a burner)

Nothing else. If you want it to read a dvd disk, you must install compatible dvd decoding software like WinDVD or PowerDVD.
