Hi,
I have Toshiba Tecra TE2100 Laptop. I've formatted my harddisk and now the sound is not working. I've downloaded driver from Toshiba site for XP SP1. The installation started but at last it says 'Driver not installed'. What would be the problem? I don't have a recovery CD for my laptop. Somebody please help.

First, you didn't state what driver your used nor if you uninstalled old previous drivers before attempting to install the driver from Toshiba.

Did you download driver with filename: s5105sndx.exe

If you did get the correct driver listed above, then that's the only driver that will work correctly with your laptop and operating system. I see no reason why it will not work if installed correctly. Toshiba is usually very reliable on posting working drivers.

I didn't note what audio driver used before. From the site of toshiba, it seems Yamaha AC-XG driver.

I tried s5105sndx.exe, but the same message appears: 'Warning - Driver was not installed'.

My laptop model is Tecra TE2100, from your site the driver file is for Satellite models.
