I have SBLive 5.1... I downloaded the Dosdrv.zip and it works in dos mode. However, it doesn't in Win 3.1. ???

Is it because Win3x doesn't support these sound cards, or is there a magic way to make it work?

Win 3.1 is not an operating system. It's only a graphical interface that requires dos to be installed before it can be installed. The same driver that works in DOS also works in Windows 3.1
