Hello everyone; I am having a very hard time locating a driver for the IBM mini PCI card listed above. The card is also marked with FRU 08K3338. If anyone could help me out with this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

btw, my Operating System is Windows 2000 Pro. For some reason it was not available from the drop-down list.

Used on lots of Thinkpads including the A21E (2628).

Drivers are here:

Thanks Jerry. That IBM support site has been sending me around in circles for two days now. :furious:

Okay, so I finally found the driver matrix on the IBM site, but I only see drivers for 3COM, Xircom and Lucent modems. Would any of those use the same chipset as the IBM-made modem? Thanks.

you can determine the answer by using a software hardware id program like Everest Home Edition or Belarc Advisor. (or by removing the modem and looking to see what chipset it has). Method #1 is easier.

To find make and model of pc hardware, EVEREST Home Edition is a free system diagnostics, system information program that will id most hardware onboard a mb.

http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/Everest-Home-Edition.shtml

Run the program and then:

Click on Computer
Click on Summary
Right hand window (hardware) if the text is blue this is a link to the web site for that particular hardware.

An alternative program is Belarc Advisor from www.belarc.com (a little more simple to use than Everest but not as good about identifying a place to find the driver).
