First of all can anyone one tell me what this driver is used for? Second how could I have messed it up? and last and finally....How do I fix the problem? Thanks for the help.

It's very difficult ot offer help when you failed to state what the problem is? eg: you get an error message saying the file is missing, corrupt, other?
Basically all you said was the name of a Windows file and that it's messed up. We need to know specifically why you think it's messed up or at least something to indicate what your experiencing on-screen.

You should get your copy of msvcr80.dll from the same place that you got the application that uses it. msvcr80.dll is distributed with several applications. It's a dynamic link library file... a file that's required to launch an application and make the application complete. Sorta like one of the pieces of a jig-saw puzzle.
