I recently purchased a Toshiba A105-S2101 Notebook PC. About 1 week ago the Combo Drive (CD/DVD) stopped recognizing any CDs that I put into it. It cannot read nor burn. I don't think it's completely a hardware problem because 'My Computer' can see that the cd-rom drive and when I givee the 'eject' command, it ejects.

I cannot find this driver anywhere and Toshiba cannot help me.

This is a samsung product but I am without a phone for the next few days so I thought I'd ask online.

ok, it's visible in My Computer, how about Device Manager? and what does Device Manager say about the working condition of the drive? eg: drive-->properties

yup its visible. I just got off the phone with toshiba and samsung and neither were too helpful.

Oh and the model number is a bit off - it's actually TS-L462c TO11

drive does not require a driver when used in Windows 95 or higher operating systems. If drive is visible in Device Manager and reported as working but doesn't, usually requires a replacement drive.
