ok, so i know that this is a really stupid question, but i just downloaded a soundblaster driver that came in zip format. how do i install it?

It's installed by using ADD NEW HARDWARE in Control Panel. Redirect the installation to the folder where you unzipped the file too. You don't install them, the OS does it for you automatically during detection of the device. If it fails to do so then you have a problem.... ie: no OS files (these are most likely compressed within driver.cab). driver.cab is on any XP installation disk and also written to the hard drive by default during installation of the OS. or the usb port is not working properly. or the mouse is defective.
