Interface is: ATAPI/IDE, 16x dvd reader and 48x cd-rom reader.

It does not require a driver when used in Windows XP. However, it does required compatible dvd decoding software (like WinDVD or PowerDVD) in order to read dvd disks. Windows XP os provides all support for reading data or music disks.

Are you having a problem of non-detection when you install it? other? We really can't help unless you state what the problem is (other than above).

Hi, The OS will not recorgnise the device

same goes for this one too.

common problem in Windows XP... not a fault in the drive but the XP operating system.
