i got problem with my cd-burner. i have one extra but i canīt find any i drivers for it.

it is a toshiba cd-rom drive moel no XM-6602B. Manufac-tured july 1999. i am not shore if it ide interface.

can anyone help me?

The XM-6602b is not a burner. It's only a 40x CD-ROM drive... reader only.

It has an IDE interface and does not require any drivers when used in any Windows os from 95 up.

Windows XP provides native support that allows it to read a data or music disk.

Is your problem non-detection, eg: not visible in My Computer or Device Manager. If so you will need to perform the "delete upper and lower filters fix" in the registry.

Try using this reg file to handle the delete (it takes care of deleting some other things which can cause problems as well):

cdgone.zip (www.aumha.org/downloads/cdgone.zip)

This is pretty much the "standard" fix for this type of issue. Backup the registry first so that you can recover if there are problems.
