Hello everybody,
I have a cheap $10.00 black eye webcam from IConcepts and have been trying for hours to get this cheap webcam to work. I've done everything you could think of and came to this site and downloaded the driver I needed. Now when I startup my pc it says CIF CHIP FOUND but the install window for found new hardware wizard still comes up asking me to install the driver! If have the original cd but that doesn't work. I dont think the driver came with the cd. The window points to the C:\Drivers\sonyUBS but there's nothing in the file. I've tried pointing to the new driver I downloaded from here. I't is call ORITE mimi-cam usb camers (SC-1200) but that doesn't work either! I'm at a lost! If anyone can help me I truly would appreciate it very much.:hdspin:

Thanks Jerry! I'll give this a try! Oh by the way..should I uninstall the other PC CIF crap I downloaded? I think I'll just uninstall everything Webcam and Photo tags software and start from scratch. And should I unzip the new driver in my c:/sony ub folder?

Well Jerry thanks for all your help and knowledge, I really mean that. I'm giving up. For some reason the install wizard fails. I exe the driver and it installs but the window to click finish doesn't show up! It just hangs there. I've waited for about 15 minutes and then it says failed to install. But when I look in my programs it's there, but the found new hardware never shows up even through I go by all the steps in the Owner's Manual. It says to install the software and make sure the webcam is NOT plugged in. Once the software is installed then plug in the webcam and it may take about 2 minutes or so to find the hardware it but it never does. It also says 16 bit Color Display Adaptor is a requirement and I've also changed that in my display but nothing! Anyways it's only 10.00 dollars, not a big deal just lots of time wasted.
