Try booting in Safe Mode by tapping the F8 key during bootup. If the program has an un-install program use it or try ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS icon in Control Panel. If it doesn't have an un-install program then you can delete the folder containing the files while booted in SAFE MODE using Windows Explorer, however, you will need to scan the REGISTRY and delete any references to the program or use a Registry Clean program like Registry Mechanic. Be sure the camera is unplugged during this procedure.

unfortunately that hasn't worked. thank you for your help anyway but a bit more information for you...i go into control panel, i click on my dsc, it comes up with the install wizard, it proceeds then to inform me that if i wish to uninstall the equipment to click yes, i do that. THEN it tells me that maintenence has been performed and everything is ok! WILL THIS EVER END! i have done this more than atleast 50 times! this <insert bad words here> camera is really <insert bad words here> me! I call once again for your help :(
