Internal optical drives don't have "Other" interfaces. Most moden drives built in the last 4-5 years have IDE interfaces. And they do not require a driver when used in Windows XP. Support is provided natively by the os that allows this drive to read a data or music disk and to burn a cd-r disk (using Windows Media Player). If your problem is with non-detection then read on.

CD RW issues are often helped by the "Delete upper and lower filters" fix:

Might be worth a shot... drive will be detected properly after a reboot.
