I had the A4 CIS scanner Plug and Play 96 CP scanner working on my XP system until last week !! (but not today). How I hear you cry....


The only reason I can offer why the scanner does not work is because your hard drive is foramtted on NTFS. I recently rebuilt my system and formatted my hard drive to NTFS. If you hard drive is formatted to FAT32 (which mine was until Sunday). I suspect it would work. I expect I will end up formatting my hard drive to prove my point so wait out !. Unless your willing to try first !

For those who have difficulty with 98 - sorry to tell you it works fine on 98 too.

I have now confirmed that FAT 32 allows you to use the scanner not NTFS
