I have a handycam and know that my comp software (nero) can capture other handycams via firewire. However it says the driver for the above camera is not installed, and the capture fails. I have spent hours searching, and trying related drivers eg DRC-TRV14e, but nothing works. I have always removed the plug while installing ...

I'd think that either the device didn't support the function your trying to use or the software doesn't... best to consult with the manufacturer of the device or the maker of the software (Nero).
