In no form or fashion does a Astra 610P have a USB port interface. Don't you know that the P in the model number stands for Parallel Port?

No Windows XP driver exists from Umax.

Windows XP supports Astra 610p with an own WIA driver. To install the WIA driver open the Windows XP control panel "Scanners and Cameras". Select the command "Add" and as Manufacturer select "Umax Data Systems".
