Need XP driver for PaperPort 2.0 Software.
PP works great in Windows 98SE but am having trouble
recognizing the COM ports in my new Windows XP.

Have selected the "Legacy" option during PaperPort
installation in XP -- but the PP program only "sees"
detects COM1 and COM3 ... while XP's System Info Report shows the presence of COM2 (IRQ3) and COM4 (IRQ4). HELP PLEASE!!!

Does anyone know if the XP "Forced Hardware" settings might be used to manually configure the PaperPort 2.0 Non-Plug and Play (doesn't appear in
the XP "Currently Installed" list). Got lots of legacy documents that need to go from Win 98SE to XP. Or, any other PP 2.0 XP driver info would be much appreciated, together with any ideas for bypassing 16 vs 32 bit protocols,
which might be the root of the problem. Thank you! -- dlk

Are you saying your scanner has serial ports instead of the normal parallel ports?
